Foton's P4 pickup frame welding production line is mainly used in the welding of pickup truck frame sub-assemblies and the robot welding of the chassis frame. This project mainly includes 87 sets of jigs and 23 welding robots.

Manual sub welding of small parts mainly including frame beams, longitudinal beams, shock absorbers, water tank beams, body brackets, cargo box brackets, exhaust pipe brackets and other sub-assemblies, tailor welding and grinding of small parts, etc....
Robot welding of beam body, longitudinal beam middle section and crumpling section is mainly used for robot welding of the main body of beam 1 to beam 7, the middle section of longitudinal beam and the main body weld of the crumpling section.
Robot welding of front longitudinal beam and rear longitudinal beam is mainly used for robot welding of main chassis welding of front longitudinal beam and rear longitudinal beam. The rear longitudinal beam main body includes a longitudinal beam body, a rear extension section and a collapse section sub-assembly.

Front frame and rear frame robot welding is mainly used for robot welding of front and rear longitudinal beams, cross beams, middle sections of longitudinal beams, and crumpling sections to form the main body welds of the front and rear frames. The welding of the front frame assembly is divided into four processes. The first and third sequences are respectively manual loading and spot welding fixed stations, and the second and fourth stations are robot repair welding stations (with variable bit machine to ensure that each weld can be welded)
The welding of the rear frame assembly is the same as that of the front frame assembly, and it is also divided into four workstations, which can ensure and realize the sharing of multiple models.
The robot welding of the frame assembly is mainly used for the robot welding of the main welding seam of the frame assembly by assembling the front frame and the rear frame;

A front and rear slide table is set at one station of the frame assembly, which can realize the sharing of the long wheelbase and the short wheelbase of the frame.
The second station of the frame assembly is a robot repair welding station, which can store various types of welding programs and realize 6 types of robot automatic welding;
The third station of the frame assembly is a manual bracket repair station, and the casing parts with the highest requirements for the frame accuracy are welded on this tooling;
The four stations of the frame assembly are repair welding and grinding stations, which are manually inspected and trimmed to the offline state.
In this project, we used a total of 23 welding machines, of which the beam body is mostly intermittent welding, and the Lincoln ultra-low spatter welding machine imported from the United States is used, a total of 7; and the longitudinal beam body and the frame body are mostly welded. For the long welding seam, a total of 16 double-pulse OTC welding machines imported from Japan are used.
