Zhongtong VAN Welding Production Line: Boosting Efficiency

 

The VAN model production line technical upgrade welding production line and jig process project will be implemented at Zhongtong Bus Co., Ltd.’s light bus manufacturing plant. This project aims to produce VAN models with 5.5 meters and 5.9 meters mid-roof, including fuel, electric, and logistics models, with provisions for high-roof models on the same line. The project goal is to meet the mass production requirements of the VAN models.

Project Highlights

 

Multi-Model Line Production:

   – Supports the production of VAN models with 5.5 meters and 5.9 meters mid-roof, including fuel, electric, and logistics models, with provisions for high-roof models on the same line to meet the needs of multi-model line production

Advanced Equipment and Processes:

   – Provides mature welding process flows and advanced, reliable equipment to ensure efficient operation and product quality of the production line.

   – The project includes side wall sub-assembly lines, floor sub-assembly lines, frame and floor lines, main lines, and adjustment lines, covering the entire production process.

Efficient Production Layout:

   – The production line layout is strictly implemented according to the body layout scheme provided by Zhongtong, ensuring the rationality and efficiency of the production line.

   – Includes 11 stations for UB&MB lines, 4 stations each for left and right side wall assembly lines, 29 sub-assemblies, and 13 stations for internal line transportation and adjustment lines.

Flexible Transfer System:

   – Transfer between stations in the side wall area is achieved by hoists and manual reciprocating rods, with sub-assembly offline using dual-track reciprocating hoists.

   – Transfer between stations in the frame and floor area is achieved by hoists and automatic reciprocating rods, with other small sub-assemblies using electric hoists with hoists for lifting.

   – Main welding area station transfer uses automatic reciprocating rods, with manual loading for floor frames and roof panels, and unloading with hoists after welding. Roof panels are loaded onto the main line using electric hoists with vacuum suction hoists.

Efficient Control System:

   – Control method is two-location program control, with manual/automatic switching functions to ensure operational flexibility and convenience.

Optimized Production Capacity:

   – The main line and sub-assembly lines are designed for a single-shift capacity of 5,000 vehicles per year, with the adjustment line designed for a single-shift capacity of 10,000 vehicles per year, ensuring efficient production capacity.

Efficient Logistics and Transfer:

   – The adjustment line uses a wide plate chain, with offline transfer to painting using electric hoists, hoists, and transfer trolleys. Main line transfer to adjustment line uses electric hoists with special hoists, ensuring efficient logistics.
